What to Expect
- Not to expose the lead wire and event recorder to water.
- Remove the lead wires and recorder while showering, the electrodes may stay on, replace the electrodes every other day.
Preparing for the Hookup
- Do not apply any lotions, body creams and oils to the chest area where electrodes will be placed.
- Wear a loose fitting shirt for easy hookup.
Hookup Procedure
- Electrodes are placed on the patients chest, with the wires connecting to a small recorder.
- If your skin becomes irritated, or you have a latex allergy, make sure to alert your physician to request hypoallergenic patches.
- Patient is given enough testing supplies during their monitoring period.
After Your Procedure
- Staff can pick up the monitor from the patients home or the patient may return to the company’s home office.
